2010 Markets open for applications
4th February update
As an extra safeguard we will confirm receipt of all applications to the Arts Market. If you send in an application and don't get a confirmation that we have received it get in touch!

Please find below the full details and application form for the 2010 Markets.
Deadline for applications is Monday 1st March 2010. All applications in by the 1st will be responded to by the end of March.

One big development for this year is the linking of the www.h-artsmarket.co.uk website to the Markets. We want this website to be the online information source for the Markets and a place where your customers can get a second chance to view and buy your work. We've made it easier to get on (no need for a Pay Pal account now) and want to encourage all Market stall holders to create a page on the site - just go to http://www.herefordshire.gov.uk/artsmarket/account/register.aspx to start the process.
Here are all the major changes - the full details are in the application form:
1) Name - changed to 'Arts Market' - we still welcome applications from crafts people (of course) but want to emphasise the artist element of the work offered. The name change also reflects the linking of www.h-artsmarket.co.uk to the Market.
2) Prices have gone up - we held them for 2 years due to the recession but now need to raise them to reflect costs.
3) Sharing stalls - the price for half a stall is slightly more than half the full stall price - to reflect the extra work involved.
4) Cheque payment - cheques for individual stalls will be cashed one month before the Market they are for.
5) Confirmation of booking - look online at www.creativeherefordshire.co.uk to make sure you are booked into the Markets you want. This website will remain the information source for stall holders.
6) www.h-artsmarket.co.uk becomes the customer facing website for the Market.
Each year we re-select the entire Market and regular stall-holders should not rely on previous acceptance as a guarantee. Please send in your best pictures and a complete application.

Application and Selection
A revised application process will be published in February with a March deadline. All stall holders will need to re-apply.
The Selection process will also be revised and all stalls will be re-evaluated.
If you haven’t already got good quality photographs of your work you may want to get them in preparation.
