Arts Market FAQ

You are here: Home : FAQ

Here are some Frequently Asked Questions about the www.h-artsmarket.co.uk website:

1)  I've tried to use my h.Arts Week username and password and it hasn't worked - what do I do?

This is a common problem.  Don't try to reset your password instead email spenny@herefordshire.gov.uk and ask him to sort out your username and password.

2)  I've added my phone number but it doesn't appear on the website - where is it?

Arts Market doesn't show the phone number automatically.  If you want people to call you please put your phone number in the descriptive text box.

3)  I've added my details to the website but nothing is showing - what's gone wrong?

Every entry on Arts Market is checked by Andy Dawson, Creative Industries Co-ordinator, so it may be that he isn't at his desk to spot your contribution.  When he does OK it he'll send you an email to confirm it's up.

4)  What's this bit about Galleries?

On the registration form you can mention other local galleries that carry your work.  Use the Galleries bit to do this - don't worry it's not about creating a separate extra online gallery!

5)  The Password is really complicated and I can't remember it - what can I do?

Several things - if you Copy it (highlight with your mouse then right-click and Copy) and then Paste it into the Password box (mouse click in Password box, right click and Paste).

Or, you can change it - go the the central Council website - www.myherefordshire.com - Login and then go to 'your profile' to change your password to something easier to remember/write.

6)  I forgot my password and the website hasn't sent me a new one - what do I do?

The Arts Market passwords are automatically generated and it may well be that your email system thinks it is Spam.  Have a look in your Junk or Spam folder (should be below your Inbox) to see if you have had a messaged from editor@herefordshire.gov.uk with the subject line 'Your new password'.

7)  The website says I must only use 'alphanumeric' characters in my text - what's that?

Try to stick to normal letters and numbers and avoid using £s or slashes (/////) or brackets - the system doesn't like anything even slightly unusual!
